The Vibe Dance and Fitness Studio is a ladies only studio in Ossett. The studio is run by Elizabeth Strutt who is a qualified Personal Trainer, Gym, Boxercise, Powerhoop, Pole dancing, Boogie Bounce and Aerial Yoga instructor. As a jack of all trades, Lizzie has over 10 years experience in the dance and fitness industry and is also qualified to train pregnant ladies and new mums. She also has experience working in rehabilitation as well as fitness, so can always recommend the best physiotherapists and sports massage therapists.
Pole fitness is an extension of pole dancing that uses the pole to its maximum potential as a versatile piece of fitness equipment. It works the whole body, improving muscle tone, flexibility, coordination, posture as well as upper body and core strength.
I also teach routines and you will learn the sexy side to pole.
Beginner Pole Dancing
Feel a little bit nervous about coming to a mixed ability class? I also run beginners classes. You will learn all the beginners spins and tricks as well as how to start getting upside down . Perfect to increase confidence before joining a mixed class.
Aerial yoga is a new type of yoga that uses a fabric hammock to help users into yoga positions. Defy gravity, increase flexibility, learn about yourself - body and mind, finishing with a savasana completely wrapped in the hammock in this amazing new class.
Powerhoop is a hula hoop inspired fitness class. During the 45 minute class expect a full body workout, not only using the hoop for hooping but also for other exercises such as squats and lunges! Suitable for complete beginners - fitness with a twist!
Are all classes suitable for beginners?
Yes, all classes are suitable for complete beginners and all fitness levels.
Do you have to book?
Yes please. Just so I can keep an eye on numbers and I know who to expect and when.
What do I need to wear for pole dancing?
Shorts and a vest top are best. Bring a jumper to warm up in, socks to stretch in and maybe a towel for sweaty hands. We do the class barefoot, so don't worry about shoes.

As a trainer I will take your fitness goals seriously. I understand that losing weight and gaining muscle can be challenging, and my goal is to help you overcome hurdles and reach your goals. I analyse your body type, BMI, weight and measurements to help you reach your goals. Over 12 weeks you would need to follow my clean eating plan and attend 3 classes per week. I will weigh and measure you every week to keep you motivated and track your progress.
The Vibe Dance and Fitness Studio is a Ladies only studio, with all classes suitable for complete beginners to fitness. I have a very open friendly atmosphere at Vibe. We work hard, however we also talk a lot - about everything! I wanted to open a studio where you could come with your hair scraped back and no make up on and feel completely at home. A place where you can be yourself, and not feel or be judged. Hopefully that is what I have achieved!
I understand that adapting new fitness habits is difficult and often times fails. My goal is to change your view on fitness, so that it becomes a part of who you are and your lifestyle. The classes are fun and friendly. I strongly believe that if you practice healthy habits, you will be able to obtain a healthy lifestyle.
